 Below you will find answers to some of the most frequent questions about my atmospheric and expressive artwork. If you do not see your question here, feel free to reach out via my contact page.

 

1. What is Atmospheric and Expressive art?

 Atmospheric and expressive art is designed to evoke emotions, inspire mindfulness, and create tranquil or moody environments. My work focuses on blending natural hues and textures to produce pieces that feel calming and immersive, often reflecting nature and life's serene moments.

 

 2. What mediums do you use in your artwork?

 I use a mix of traditional and modern techniques, working with acrylics, acrylic ink, watercolours, and mixed media to build layers and textures. This approach allows me to achieve depth and create atmospheric effects.

 

 3. Do you create custom or commissioned pieces?

 Yes, I do offer custom and/or commissioned artwork. Please contact me via my contact page or by email to discuss your requirements and ideas. 

 

 4. How do I choose the right piece for my space?

 When selecting artwork, consider the mood you want to create in your room. My pieces are designed to inspire calm and mindfulness, making them perfect for bedrooms, living spaces, or even work areas. Feel free to contact me for guidance or send photos of your space for personalized recommendations.

 

 5. Can I purchase prints of your work?

 Yes, as well as selling my original artwork, I also offer high-quality prints of select pieces, in varying sizes, on both paper and canvas. Explore Fine Art Prints on Paper and Fine Art Prints on Canvas collections, to find your special piece of artwork. 

 

 6. Do you ship internationally?

  I do not ship internationally; however, I am looking at this for the near future.

 

 7. How can I care for my artwork?

•  Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.
• Keep it in a stable environment without extreme humidity or temperature changes.
• Use a soft cloth to gently dust the surface when needed.
• If your artwork is framed under glass, ensure the glass is clean and not exposed to condensation.

 

8. Do you offer framing services?

 The original artwork is initially unframed, however if you are interested in buying a particular piece of artwork and having this artwork framed, reach out to me via the Contact Me Page or by email and then we can discuss your requirements. I can contact my local framer for a price and timeline for you. 

 Framing is an option for prints, which can be selected when purchasing on the product page. 

 If you wish to discuss ideas for framing, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will help you to select a style that complements the artwork and your interior.

 

 9. Who owns the copyright?

 All rights to the artwork, including the right to make reproductions are held exclusively by the artist, Alison Boothroyd.

 These rights remain with the artist even after purchase.

 Collectors and others are strictly prohibited from reproducing or distributing the artwork in any form without first obtaining written permission from the artist.

 

 10. Do you offer workshops or classes?

 I do not offer workshops or classes at this present time. However, as an Experienced Art Teacher, I am looking at running workshops to help others explore expressive and atmospheric art, in the future. These sessions would be perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike.
